Local Authority/Care Organisations
We can provide tailored experiences, visits and projects on our farm in a safe environment that provides both vulnerable children and adults with opportunities to learn new skills and get new experiences. We have a small, hand picked selection of livestock on our farm as well as dogs and other small animals. If you have young or vulnerable people being referred through your authority or organisation, we can provide social, educational and respite experiences on our farm. By working with local authorities and organisations we can provide the much-needed support and experiences to those that need it most.

Support for Care Organisations & Local Authorities
Our intention at Mount Pleasant Care Farm is that a care farming experience will help close the attainment gap between disadvantaged learners and their peers. We also want to provide our services for children in care as more needs to be done to ensure that children in care are healthy and have the same opportunities as their peers.
Children’s early experiences have a significant impact on their development and their opportunities in the future which is why we deliver the opportunities to build relationships, and practise key numeracy and literacy skills in a safe, nurturing environment.
As well as providing care farming experiences to children in care and young people with behavioural challenges, young people in offender institutions can also be referred for work experience on our Care Farm.
